Catering Assistant

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join a friendly and hardworking team within a school in Blyth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous catering experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing high standards of food service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Setting up dining areas ready for service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas
• Washing up and operating kitchen cleaning equipment
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage of deliveries
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Following all food safety and health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering, kitchen, school, care home, or similar food service environment is essential
• A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate required
• Enhanced DBS Check required

Don't have the required certifications? Blue Arrow can support successful candidates with obtaining an Enhanced DBS and Food Hygiene Level 2 certification where required.
