Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to work within a busy high school in Rochdale. This is a temporary ongoing position starting in September, offering consistent weekday hours that are ideal for candidates seeking part-time work during school hours.

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff.
• Setting up and replenishing food counters and service areas.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Washing dishes, utensils, and catering equipment.
• Cleaning kitchen and dining areas in line with health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage of food deliveries.
• Providing friendly and efficient customer service during meal times.
• Following all school safeguarding, health and safety, and food hygiene procedures.

• Previous catering, kitchen assistant, food service
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to ongoing work.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
