Location: Hitchin
Salary: £13.28 per hour with a £1 Weekend and Bank Holiday Enhancement
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 7am to 3pm, including alternate weekends

Brainkind is a leading UK charity supporting people with brain injuries through specialist assessment, rehabilitation and care services. We're looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team in Hitchin and help provide high-quality meal services for the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, safe and hygienic
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting supply requirements
• Reporting equipment faults and maintenance issues
• Supporting the Chef and Head Chef to deliver excellent catering services
• Following food safety, health & safety and organisational procedures

About You

• Previous catering, kitchen or hospitality experience desirable
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of starting
• A team player with good communication skills
• Reliable, organised and able to follow procedures
