Description
A CCTV Surveillance Operative Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review CCTV footage to identify incidents, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
- Accurately document observations and maintain detailed records with precise timestamps.
- Produce comprehensive investigation reports supported by clear evidence.
- Manage and securely store video evidence for future retrieval and investigation purposes.
- Review and assess e-commerce transactions flagged for potential fraud.
- Support internal investigations through the analysis of employee activity, transactions, and system data.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risks through intelligence gathering and data analysis.
- Provide support in the early identification and escalation of security incidents and threats.
- Assist with crisis and incident response activities when required.
- Ensure surveillance systems are operating effectively and escalate technical issues promptly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to support investigations and security operations
Profile
A successful CCTV Surveillance Operative should have:
- Previous experience within security, surveillance, investigative, fraud prevention, or a related field.
- Experience using CCTV systems and video review software.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Strong written communication skills with experience producing factual reports.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
