Job Overview
A CDM / Principal Designer opportunity with an architectural practice and specialist CDM team in London. The role suits a professional with CDM, Principal Designer or health and safety experience who can work alongside architects, designers and project leaders. You will deliver Principal Designer services, integrate health and safety throughout the design process and support projects across all RIBA workstages.
Role & Responsibilities
Deliver CDM Principal Designer services across projects
Support implementation of CDM Regulations 2015
Provide Client Advisor support when required
Identify and communicate design risks
Prepare professional reports and CDM documentation
You will collaborate with internal project teams and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance and helping teams consider practical responses to design risks. The position may also involve external representation and business development activity.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in CDM, Principal Designer or health and safety
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
Experience across all RIBA workstages
Strong project management and organisational skills
Clear communication and report-writing abilities
You will need good attention to detail, technical competency and the ability to work effectively with architects, designers and wider project teams. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to design safety is required.
