Top Marks Education is delighted to be supporting an established Alternative Education Provider in the recruitment of a dedicated and dynamic Centre Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy educational centre, ensuring high standards of service delivery, learner engagement and operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading teams, developing provision and ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for young people and staff.

The Role

As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of centre operations, staff performance and programme delivery. You will provide strong leadership, foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the centre operates efficiently while meeting organisational objectives.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff, partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Lead, motivate and support staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Foster a positive, collaborative and professional working environment.

Organise training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Support the recruitment, onboarding and development of staff as required.

Centre Operations

Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring smooth and effective delivery of services.

Oversee scheduling, resource allocation and operational planning.

Maintain accurate records and ensure all reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Ensure the centre environment is welcoming, organised and professional.

Programme Development & Delivery

Develop and implement programmes that meet the needs of learners and the wider community.

Monitor quality and effectiveness of provision, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Support the delivery of engaging and impactful educational programmes.

Contribute to the development of innovative services that enhance learner outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain positive relationships with learners, families, stakeholders and external partners.

Promote centre activities through community engagement and outreach initiatives.

Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, events and networking opportunities.

Support the growth and reputation of the provision within the local community.

Compliance & Safeguarding

Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and organisational policies.

Promote a strong safeguarding culture and act in accordance with safeguarding procedures at all times.

Support the implementation of quality assurance processes and continuous improvement activities.

Ensure resources, facilities and services operate in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

Previous leadership and management experience within an education, training, youth work or similar setting.

Strong organisational and operational management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience managing teams and developing staff performance.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.

Experience building positive relationships with stakeholders and community partners.

Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

Experience within alternative provision, further education or vocational learning.

Teaching, training or educational experience.

Full UK Driving Licence.
