Academics are looking for a proactive and resilient Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Runcorn, supporting students who require additional support positively approach education and learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone who has had experience with vulnerable children who display complex behaviour, can appropriately handle challenging situations and can build positive relationships with students to help them achieve their potential.
About the Role:
As a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Providing support with students in the classroom.
- Building trusting and positive relationships with students.
- Recognising when students need additional support and responding appropriately.
- Encouraging independence and a positive approach to learning.
- Prioritising the safeguarding and wellbeing of students.
About You:
- Passionate about working with children and young people.
- Experienced in working in a classroom environment.
- Proactive and dedicated to supporting students and their learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a wider team.
- Knowledge of mental health challenges in children, ASD and ADHD.
- Based in Runcorn or in surrounding areas.
