The Role
The Change Manager is an individual contributor responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of changes across client environments. This role ensures all changes are delivered in a controlled, compliant, and efficient manner, aligned to financial services regulations and operational best practice.
As a hands-on practitioner, you will drive robust change governance, minimise risk, and support business continuity. You will act as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring transparency, control, and continuous improvement across all change activity.
This role is pivotal in enabling Claranet to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant managed services, while maintaining high standards of customer experience and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end change management lifecycle (planning, assessment, approval, implementation, and review)
- Coordinate and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring appropriate governance and approvals
- Assess risks, impacts, and dependencies, prioritising changes based on business and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all changes are documented, communicated, and delivered in line with ITIL best practices
- Monitor change outcomes, including success rates, incidents, and post-implementation learnings
- Maintain a comprehensive view of all changes across client environments
- Act as an escalation point for change-related issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to align changes with business needs and risk appetite
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation, and best practice adoption
- Support incident and problem management by linking changes to root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Produce governance reporting, dashboards, and insights for stakeholders
- Ensure change activities meet financial services regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, PRA, ISO, SOC)
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments with accurate documentation and audit trails
- Contribute to service improvements, contract changes, and governance initiatives
- Provide informal mentoring and support to colleagues where required

Experience & Knowledge
Essential:
- Proven experience in change management within IT, cloud, or managed services environments
- Strong understanding of ITIL change management processes
- Experience coordinating CAB meetings and managing approvals
- Knowledge of risk assessment, impact analysis, and governance frameworks
- Experience working within regulated environments (ideally financial services)
- Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable:
- Experience with automation tools for change management
- Exposure to hybrid, cloud, and on-premise environments and understanding of incident and problem management processes
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
