Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Sunday – Various shift patterns

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a welcoming elderly care home in Clacton-on-Sea.

You will play an important role in providing nutritious, tasty and well-presented meals for our residents, helping to create a positive dining experience while meeting individual dietary and nutritional requirements.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a chef who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in preparing high-quality food for others.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for residents

• Follow menus and ensure meals are prepared to a consistently high standard

• Cater for special dietary requirements, allergies and individual preferences

• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards

• Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and organised

• Assist with stock control and minimise food waste

• Work closely with the Head Chef and wider care home team

• Support the smooth running of the kitchen during busy service periods

• Help create an enjoyable and welcoming mealtime experience for residents

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role

• Has a genuine passion for cooking and providing quality food

• Understands the importance of nutrition and dietary requirements

• Has good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Is reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure

• Is caring, patient and respectful when working with elderly residents

• Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative

• Is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
