We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our client based on the outskirts of Swindon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen during service.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the hotel's quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared using fresh ingredients and correct cooking techniques.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Support and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior Chefs.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, allergen regulations, and health & safety procedures.
  • Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods, including weddings, conferences, and events.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work confidently across different kitchen sections.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and high-quality food.
  • Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
  • Food Safety Level 2 Certificate.
  • Experience within a hotel, spa, wedding, or banqueting operation.
