TRS Personnel are recruiting for a well established Shrewsbury hotel who are looking for a committed Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in their standards and wants to develop within a supportive environment.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll take responsibility for your section and support the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen. You’ll prepare and present dishes to a high standard, maintain excellent hygiene and help train junior team members. Organisation, consistency and a positive approach will be key.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
• Running your section efficiently and maintaining excellent cleanliness
• Following menu specifications set by the Head Chef
• Managing stock rotation, ordering and correct storage
• Supporting with new menu development
• Maintaining high personal hygiene and uniform standards
• Complying with all food safety and allergen procedures
• Helping control stock, portions and waste to support kitchen profitability
What We’re Looking For
• Experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a hotel kitchen
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow standards
• Confident working in a fast paced environment
• Good communication with both kitchen and restaurant teams
• A supportive team player with a positive attitude
