We’re recruiting a very experienced Chef Manager to lead a large secondary school catering operation in Woking, serving up to 1,100 students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Chef Manager with a proven track record in high-volume education catering, delivering fresh, scratch-cooked food while leading an established team of 10, including a chef and supervisor.
The Role
- Oversee the kitchen, front of house and Sixth Form Café, including a strong grab-and-go offer.
- Build a good rapport with the headmaster
- Lead, develop and motivate a stable, experienced team.
- Deliver high-quality, freshly prepared food at scale.
- Take responsibility for budgets, P&L accounts and financial reporting to the Operations Manager.
We’re Looking For a Chef Manager Who
- Has proven experience in the education sector, ideally within a large secondary school.
- Must be well organised and work well under pressure
- Can confidently manage high-volume, scratch cooking and busy service periods.
- Has strong leadership, organisational and financial management skills.
