Are you a passionate Chemistry Teacher looking for a new opportunity from November?

Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-performing secondary school in Smethwick for a Chemistry Teacher to join their Science department on a long-term maternity cover basis, starting around mid November.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a supportive Science department within a well-established secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Chemistry lessons, supporting positive behaviour and helping students make strong academic progress.

The Role
  • Teaching Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Science department
  • Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
  • Taking an active role within the wider school community
The Ideal CandidateWe would love to hear from qualified Chemistry Teachers who:
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching within a secondary school
  • Are passionate about Science and committed to student progress
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Are available to start around mid November
