The Role
As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you will:
- Deliver chemotherapy treatments safely within patients' homes across the RG, SL and HA postcode areas
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments before and during treatment
- Administer IV chemotherapy, cannulation and phlebotomy
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to adverse reactions
- Build strong relationships with patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC registration
- Experience administering chemotherapy in either a hospital or community setting
- SACT Passport or recognised chemotherapy qualification (preferred)
- Competency in IV therapy, cannulation and phlebotomy
- Excellent clinical assessment skills and the confidence to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
