Chief Estates and Facilities Officer

The Management Recruitment Group

LASE University Group, one employer, two universities.

At LASE you are part of something bigger - here we change lives, celebrate student-centred education without boundaries. We open doors, nurture potential and tackle regional and global challenges together. As a member of the LASE team, you will work alongside talented colleagues, contribute to meaningful change, and benefit from opportunities to collaborate, develop and grow across a unique higher education partnership.

Together, we are transforming lives, enabling confident graduates, advancing knowledge, supporting regional prosperity, and creating an environment where our people can do their best work. We are united by one ambition - to shape futures that matter.

The Chief Estates and Facilities Officer will be a key part of the Group Senior Leadership Team. The role will work closely with the wider professional services leadership,
reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer. The role holder will be pivotal in providing strategic leadership across estates, facilities management, commercial services and sustainability, developing these areas in line with the organisation’s long-term ambitions.

You will have responsibility for a diverse multi campus estate across London and Kent, encompassing four campuses, that bring together a unique blend of historic heritage and modern provision. Our grounds and buildings provide the backdrop to the daily lives of our staff, students and wider community and must continue to evolve as places where people can study, research, innovate, collaborate and thrive. Balancing the stewardship of our multi campus estate with the changing needs and ambitions of our organisation will be central to the role, creating environments that respect our heritage and enable an outstanding student and staff experience through the provision of high quality, safe, sustainable and effective environments.

We are looking for a leader who will bring experience, insight and new ideas but also understand the importance of collaboration and building strong relationships. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, making decisions and turning ambition into meaningful outcomes. If you have the drive, commitment, professional credibility and share our passion for higher education and its power to change lives for the better, we would encourage you to apply.
