BRC are working in partnership with a national mental health charity who are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and resilient Children and Young People (CYP) Worker to join their dedicated team in Swansea.
  
About the Role
  
As a CYP Worker, you will provide therapeutic support and practical guidance to children and young people experiencing mental health distress within a non-clinical environment. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to help young people build resilience, improve wellbeing, and access appropriate support services.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering one-to-one emotional support and wellbeing interventions.
  • Supporting children and young people in crisis using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.
  • Respond and effectively manager all new and current referrals.
  • Developing support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all service users.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children and young people in a health, social care, education, or community setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understands mental health, emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, and child protection principles.
  • Can work effectively under pressure and respond appropriately to crisis situations.
  • Is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
