Support Children and Families to Achieve Positive Outcomes

We are recruiting an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join a Family Support Team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about safeguarding children, supporting families, and delivering high-quality child-centred practice.

The successful candidate will work with children and families subject to Child Protection Plans and care/support planning processes, undertaking statutory duties and interventions to reduce risk and improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children, young people, and families requiring statutory support.
  • Complete assessments, care planning, reviews, and direct work with children and families.
  • Undertake safeguarding activity and manage risk effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including health, education, and other professionals.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to child protection planning.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and timely case records, assessments, and reports.
  • Support families through evidence-based interventions and relationship-focused practice.
  • Contribute to court proceedings where required.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current professional registration.
  • Experience within Children's Services, safeguarding, Child Protection, or Family Support.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures, thresholds, and statutory frameworks.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Committed to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice.
