Children's Home Manager - Crewkerne (Somerset)
Vetro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Children's Home Manager - Crewkerne (Somerset) to lead a new residential children’s home and help establish a nurturing, therapeutic environment for young people. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (including bonuses), with additional training to support development and progression.
Role Summary
As Children's Home Manager - Crewkerne (Somerset), you will be instrumental in the setup and ongoing management of the home, working closely with local authority support and relevant stakeholders to ensure safeguarding and strong outcomes for children and young people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Recruiting, training, and building a dedicated, high-performing team
- Ensuring the home provides a safe, therapeutic, and enriching environment
- Overseeing daily operations, including budget management and regulatory compliance
- Ensuring strong relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement to support positive outcomes and inspection readiness
- Trauma Recovery Practitioner Course provided
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and evidence of achieving positive inspection outcomes
- Demonstrable leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, motivate, and develop staff
- A proactive, autonomous working style, with the ability to manage responsibilities effectively
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people
