Registered Manager (Children’s Residential Home)

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + performance bonuses + Ofsted‑linked incentives

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager — or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up — to lead a high‑quality children’s residential home providing safe, nurturing and structured care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership, safeguarding oversight, and operational management of the home.

  • Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team through coaching, reflective practice, and professional accountability.

  • Oversee care planning, risk management, incident reporting, and quality assurance systems.

  • Build positive, trauma‑informed relationships with children and promote stability, safety, and positive outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, health professionals, and external agencies.

  • Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and regulatory readiness.

  • Drive continuous improvement, service development, and a positive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Managers, OR experienced Deputy Managers ready for their first RM role.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Confident leadership style with the ability to motivate, support, and challenge staff.

  • Calm, professional decision‑making and the ability to manage complex situations.

  • Passion for child‑centred, trauma‑informed practice and improving outcomes for young people.

  • Level 3 Residential Childcare essential; Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it.
