Senior Therapeutic Carer
Location: Brighton
Salary: £28,185 – £29,567 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, shift work
We are looking for experienced Senior Therapeutic Carers to join a specialist therapeutic children's home.
The role involves providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people, supporting their emotional development and wellbeing while helping to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing therapeutic and relationship-based care
- Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues
- Promoting safeguarding and positive outcomes for children
- Building positive relationships with children, families and professionals
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Supporting the management team with the effective running of the home
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a children's residential setting
- Experience in a senior or leadership role
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic childcare
- Passion for supporting children and young people
