Children's Occupational Therapist

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out holistic assessments of children and young people with disabilities in their home environments.
• Asses, recommend and provide specialist equipment to support daily living and independence i.e. specialist seating, moving and handling, bathing and toileting.
• Assess for and contribute to home adaptations, ensuring environments are safe, functional, and fit for purpose.
• Work closely with families and carers, providing guidance, reassurance, and practical support.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals across

• Education providers
• Partner and voluntary agencies
• Contribute to care planning, ensuring interventions are child-centred and outcome-focused.
