Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance Bonus
Home: Brand-new 2-bed Children's Residential Home (EBD)

- Existing Ofsted Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
- Experience working within children's residential care, ideally supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Good knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Experience with Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment
- Previous involvement in achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes is desirable
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to commute to Walsall
- Lead the Ofsted registration process for the home
- Prepare the home for its first Ofsted inspection and work towards a Good or Outstanding rating
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing staff team
- Create a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements
- Oversee care planning, risk management and quality assurance
- Manage the day-to-day running of the home
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, families and partner agencies
- Monitor compliance, performance and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records and regulatory documentation
- Ensure children and young people receive high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes
