Children'S Residential Support Worker in Manchester

Rotherwood Cares are recruiting on behalf of a well-established provider of children's residential services in Oldham.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference whilst supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and develop independence.

Location sites available to work from:

• Oldham
• Bury
• Rochdale
• Bolton
• Trafford
• Salford
• Thameside

The Role:

• Supporting children and young people within a residential home
• Building positive and trusting relationships
• Encouraging education, independence and life skills
• Supporting activities, appointments and daily routines
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Completing records, reports and handovers
• Following safeguarding procedures at all times

Shift Patterns:

• 9am – 11pm plus sleep-in shifts
• 2 on, 4 off rota patterns available
• Full-time and temp-to-perm opportunities

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people
• Residential childcare, youth work, support work or care experience desirable
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Full UK Driving Licence desirable
