Salary: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of children's residential homes across Newcastle. These homes provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments where children and young people are encouraged to develop independence, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes through consistent, child-centred care.

We are looking to recruit a Children's Support Worker for both long-term and day-to-day opportunities with an immediate start available. The successful Children's Support Worker will support children and young people with their daily routines, promote positive behaviour, assist with activities and maintain a safe, caring environment. Day shifts and sleep-in opportunities are available.

The successful Children's Support Worker will have:

• Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification is desirable
• Previous experience working within a children's residential setting
• A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting children and young people
• The ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviours where required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work day shifts and sleep-ins
