We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join Bromley Council on a full-time locum basis.

About the Role

As a Children's Social Worker within the CLA Team, you will:

• Manage a varied caseload of looked after children.
• Build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
• Complete assessments, care planning, and statutory visits.
• Develop and review care plans to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Work closely with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, reviews, and planning meetings.
• Ensure all practice is in line with current legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Experience working within Children's Services, particularly Children Looked After.
• Strong assessment, care planning, and safeguarding skills.
• Excellent communication and partnership working abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
