Location: Merseyside & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £13.00 to £15.00+ per hour (depending on placement) + Sleep-In Payments

BRB Temps Children is excited to be launching our dedicated Children's Temporary Staffing Division, supplying experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to Ofsted-regulated children's homes across Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for dedicated, reliable and compassionate Residential Support Workers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. Whether you are looking for regular agency work, additional shifts alongside your current role, or greater flexibility, we have opportunities available.
The Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people living within residential childcare settings. You will help create a safe, nurturing and structured environment while promoting positive outcomes, independence and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting children and young people with daily routines, personal development and independent living skills.
• Building positive, professional relationships that encourage trust, confidence and stability.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting young people through challenging situations.
• Supporting attendance at education, appointments, activities and community engagement.
• Maintaining accurate daily records, incident reports and handovers.
• Following individual care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
• Working alongside colleagues, social workers and other professionals to deliver outstanding care.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
• At least 12 months' UK experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
• Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), trauma, or complex needs.
• A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection and professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The right to work in the UK without restriction.
• Flexibility to work a mixture of day shifts, waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Level 4 Residential Childcare or Leadership & Management qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working within EBD, Learning Disabilities (LD), Therapeutic, SEMH or Complex Care services.
