Children's Residential Support Worker - Tewkesbury
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker for a specialist residential setting in Tewkesbury. This is an opportunity to make a real difference for children and young people, supporting daily routines, promoting independence, and helping them feel safe, valued, and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young residents
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children, supporting enriching activities and outings
- Ensure the safety and protection of children by following care plans and agreed guidelines
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people
- Support behaviour management and minimise incidents of challenging behaviour
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans, safety procedures, and relevant documentation
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient approach
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK

Salary
£14.24 - £28.48 per hour (DOE)
