Harborough Mews Care Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential home in Northampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, child-focused leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, lead and develop the staff team, and ensure that children receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the children’s home.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child-centred care.
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team.
- Ensure effective care planning, risk assessment and behaviour support.
- Maintain compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Maintain strong Ofsted readiness and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual, placing authorities, social workers and other professionals.
- Promote trauma-informed and relationship-based practice, including PACE principles.
- Ensure children’s wishes, feelings, safety and outcomes remain at the centre of practice.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience within children’s residential care.
- Has previous management or deputy management experience within a children’s home.
- Has strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Holds, or is working towards/eligible to undertake, the relevant Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification for Residential Childcare.
- Is confident leading, supervising and developing a residential care team.
- Can demonstrate strong safeguarding, risk-management and decision-making skills.
- Is organised, resilient and able to provide calm and effective leadership.
- Has a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager is highly desirable.

Hours: 40 per week, with flexibility and on-call responsibilities
