CI / Operational Excellence Manager
£70,000 - £75,000 + 10% bonus | Bradford Area | Full-time
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CI / Operational Excellence professional to take ownership of strategic improvement projects within a growing consumer manufacturing business.
This is a role for someone who can identify opportunities, build the case for change and lead projects through to measurable results.
Working closely with senior leadership and teams across Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you’ll play a key role in improving how the business operates and scales.
As the Operational Excellence Manager you will:
- Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve cost, productivity, efficiency, quality and capacity.
- Lead improvement and transformation projects from initial concept through to implementation.
- Build business cases, including costs, benefits, resources and ROI.
- Use data, Lean and structured problem-solving to identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements.
- Lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage a pipeline of strategic operational improvement initiatives.
- Track project benefits and ensure improvements are embedded and sustained.
- Support automation, systems and digital improvement projects.
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, ROI and outcomes to senior leadership.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Excellence, Business Improvement or Transformation professional.
You’ll ideally have experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, distribution or another fast-paced operational environment.
Most importantly, you’ll be able to demonstrate a track record of making change happen.
We want to hear about the projects you've personally led, the problems you identified, how you influenced the business and the measurable results you delivered.
You’ll also bring:
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or CI methodologies.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills.
- Experience delivering cost savings or operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- A strategic mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Power BI, ERP/WMS, automation or digital transformation experience would be advantageous.
