Civil Design Engineer in Leeds, West Yorkshire

Are you a Civil Design Engineer ready to take on a new challenge? 

We're recruiting for an expanding infrastructure business looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join its growing Water team. You'll work on a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, taking designs from concept through detailed design and into construction and commissioning.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Civil and drainage design
• Engineering drawings and design solutions
• Calculations, specifications, reports and estimates
• Water and wastewater infrastructure design
• Drainage, clean water, separation and waste treatment projects
• Design assurance and quality control
• Technical problem solving
• Coordinating surveys and multidisciplinary design inputs
• Client and stakeholder engagement
• Supporting junior engineers and technical staff

About You

We're looking for a qualified Civil Engineer with:

• Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of UK water industry and drainage standards
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience
• Good understanding of hydraulic design principles
• Experience with concrete slabs, retaining walls and hardstandings
• BIM experience is desirable
• ICE membership or Chartered status is advantageous

Experience of infrastructure projects, with water/wastewater experience advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided to candidates with strong transferable design experience.
