As a Civil Engineer…
You will be involved in the design and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across some of the UK’s largest residential, mixed-use and commercial developments, working closely with clients and other disciplines to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Our Civil Engineering team delivers services including:
- Designing preliminary and detailed highways in line with Section 38 and Section 278 of the Highways Act.
- Delivering strategic and detailed drainage designs, including S104/S98 Water Act, foul pumping stations, SuDS, flow control structures and balancing facilities.
- Producing residential and commercial external works designs, including earthworks assessments.
- Preparing technical reports, design assessments, planning statements and fee proposals.
- Supporting project delivery from proposal through to practical completion, ensuring quality, cost and timeline objectives are met.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation, including CDM Regulations and UK Building Regulations.
- Utilising design software such as AutoCAD and MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage) effectively in day-to-day tasks.
What do we look for?
- A minimum of HND/C in Civil Engineering (a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is desirable).
- A desire to achieve Chartered status.
- Experience in highway and/or drainage design.
- A genuine interest in civil engineering and a desire to develop your technical design skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and with clients.
