Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer required for a major renewables developer based in Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, engineering, and delivery of civil works associated with offshore wind and energy island infrastructure projects.
• Review and coordinate civil and structural designs for onshore substations, converter stations, cable landfalls, and associated facilities.
• Manage geotechnical, topographical, and site investigation activities to ensure suitability of proposed designs.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering disciplines.
• Review contractor designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Monitor construction activities and provide technical support during the execution phase, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Support the development of technical specifications, scopes of work, tender documentation, and contractor evaluation processes.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk management workshops.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards.
• Manage technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare engineering reports, progress updates, and technical presentations for project management and clients.
• Support commissioning and handover activities related to civil infrastructure assets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, power transmission, offshore wind, renewable energy, or industrial construction projects.
• Experience with substations, converter stations, cable infrastructure, marine structures, or offshore energy developments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, geotechnical engineering, drainage, foundations, and earthworks.
• EU National.
• Fluent in English and Danish.
