Are you an experienced Civil Pipeline Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure and water projects?

We're looking for a talented engineer to join a multidisciplinary design team delivering complex pipeline infrastructure projects across the water sector. The Role

As a Civil Pipeline Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the design and delivery of pipeline engineering packages across a wide range of infrastructure projects. You'll work alongside civil, mechanical, electrical, structural and geotechnical engineers to develop practical, efficient and sustainable pipeline solutions while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest technical standards.

You'll also provide technical guidance to junior engineers, contribute to business development activities and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of pipeline engineering design across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

  • Produce and review technical documentation, including:

    • Design reports

    • Engineering calculations

    • Technical drawings

    • Technical specifications

    • Scopes of work

  • Design new pipeline infrastructure along with rehabilitation and renewal schemes.

  • Undertake pipeline condition assessments and support commissioning, operation and maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop integrated design solutions.

  • Ensure designs comply with current legislation, engineering standards and industry best practice.

  • Participate in design reviews, technical assurance and quality management activities.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

  • Support technical proposals, bids and tender submissions.



About You

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.

  • Proven experience delivering pipeline engineering design within the UK water or utilities sector.

  • Strong knowledge of pipeline design, construction, rehabilitation, commissioning and operational engineering.

  • Experience leading or coordinating engineering teams on multidisciplinary projects.

  • A solid understanding of UK and international pipeline design standards and CDM Regulations.

  • Experience using industry-standard pipeline design and analysis software such as HADES, Varism or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

  • A proactive approach with strong technical leadership and problem-solving abilities.
