Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Senior / Site Engineer on behalf of a reputable heavy civil engineering contractor delivering key projects for the Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework, running until 2030.

Work is secured across Yorkshire, with a strong pipeline concentrated in South Yorkshire. This contractor is a long‑standing specialist in complex civil engineering, delivering deep drainage, shaft sinking, pumping stations, in‑situ concrete structures and more. They have grown year-on-year to a £500m+ turnover and Yorkshire is now a key area for them for the future. They offer a Senior Site Engineer or Site Engineer the opportunity to take ownership of engineering delivery while supporting with documentation and site supervision.

Duties:

  • Setting out for deep drainage, manholes, concrete structures, tanks and associated civils
  • Conducting site surveys and maintaining accurate engineering records
  • Producing RAMS, permits and site documentation
  • Oversee / supervise Temporary Works aspects on site
  • Updating and managing site paperwork, QA records and as‑built information
  • Check rebar & shuttering and oversee concrete pours
  • Coordinating with Site Manager, Project Manager and wider delivery team
  • Supporting planning, sequencing and safe systems of work
  • Monitoring progress, quality and compliance on site

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on heavy civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of drainage gradients, rebar, shuttering / formwork and temporary works
  • Ability to supervise teams and support site management
  • Experience delivering works for water sector clients (Yorkshire Water or similar) beneficial
  • Must hold CSCS and full UK driving licence
  • Ideally hold an industry‑relevant Degree/HND

Remuneration:

Salary up to £62,000 (DOE) plus:

Company car or allowance, fuel, 27 days annual leave, pension scheme and additional benefits / perks included.
