Civil Site Supervisor – Water Industry

Location: East London
Salary: £50,000 – £62,000 + Package
Type: Permanent

We're looking for an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join a leading contractor delivering critical infrastructure works as part of the AMP8 investment programme across East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a project team working on high-profile water and wastewater treatment schemes, with genuine long-term career progression on offer.

The Role
  • Supervising civil engineering works on site, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Overseeing groundworks, RC structures, and associated civil works on a live treatment works site
  • Managing subcontractors and labour on a day-to-day basis, ensuring works are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Conducting daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and inductions
  • Carrying out site inspections and quality checks, ensuring compliance with specifications and drawings
  • Monitoring and enforcing health & safety standards across the site
  • Maintaining accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports
  • Working within an NEC contract environment
The Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor, ideally within the water/utilities sector
  • Experience working on treatment works, pumping stations, or clean/wastewater infrastructure projects is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualified
  • CSCS card (Supervisor level)
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Valid driving licence
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
