We are seeking a detail-oriented and resilient Claims Handler to join our client’s team, supporting Solicitors with residential and commercial possession and enforcement claims. In this role, you will manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring claims are progressed accurately and efficiently from receipt through to closure, while meeting court deadlines, daily targets and regulatory requirements. You will liaise with stakeholders by phone and email, provide timely updates on complex cases, maintain accurate case notes and ensure all work is completed in line with GDPR, procedural and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claim Processing: Manage a high-volume caseload covering service charges, ground rent and breach of lease matters, ensuring claims are progressed accurately and efficiently.
  • Court Documentation: Prepare and serve claim forms, consent orders, applications, hearing packs and other court documents.
  • Legal Support: Support Litigation Solicitors with forfeiture proceedings, possession claims and insolvency action.
  • Enforcement: Enforce judgements through High Court Enforcement and third-party debt orders.
  • Claim Assessment: Review and assess claims, handle defendant disputes and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Negotiate settlements and communicate professionally with clients, defendants, Solicitors and other stakeholders.
  • Case Management: Maintain accurate case records, system updates and documentation, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with legal, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Solicitors and internal teams to ensure the timely and effective resolution of claims.

The successful candidate will have:

· A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification. A degree in law is desirable but not required.

· Previous experience in claims handling, debt collection, or the property/finance sector.

· Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

· High level of organisation with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

· Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively toward performance targets.
