Class 1 Day and Night drivers

Class 1 Drivers Required – Rochdale & Heywood

Freeway Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (CE) Drivers for a variety of contracts across the Rochdale and Heywood area.

Position

Class 1 Driver (Days or Night Trunking)

Duties

Day Drivers

• Pallet Network deliveries and collections
• Trailer swaps
• Bulk deliveries
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Operating curtain-sided trailers

Night Trunk Drivers

• Depot-to-depot trunking work
• Trailer swaps
• Minimal handball
• Operating Class 1 units and curtain-sided trailers

Pay Rates

• Day Drivers: £16.00 to 17.00 per hour PAYE
• Night Trunk Drivers: £17.00 - 18.00 per hour PAYE
• Holiday pay accrued in addition to hourly rate

Start Times

Days

• Typically between 03:00 and 07:00

Nights

• Various start times available

Requirements

• Full UK Class 1 (CE) Licence held for a minimum of 6–12 months
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DR, IN, CD or TT endorsements
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6–12 months' Class 1 driving experience required
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
