Overview
We are recruiting experienced and reliable Class 1 Tramper Drivers for ongoing work with a well-established logistics client based in Sherburn-in-Elmet. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates.
The role involves nationwide deliveries and collections across the UK. A hands-on and flexible approach to work is essential.
Pay Rates
- £16.50 - £18.49 per hour weekdays
- £18.50 - £20.73 per hour weekends
- £25.00 night out allowance
- PAYE only
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
- Complete nationwide deliveries and collections
- Work with flat and step-frame trailers
- Secure and check loads safely using straps
- Assist with securing straps, unstrapping and unloading where required
- Deliver into busy areas and sites across the UK
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Complete paperwork and delivery records accurately
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with flatbed or step-frame trailers preferred
- Experience securing loads with straps preferred
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Comfortable with tramping and weekend work
