Class 1 Driver in Bedford

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

 

The role includes deliveries to stores across the UK, with an average of 2–3 drops of caged goods, plus some collections.

 

Rates of Pay: PAYE.   Day rate £17.96 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £24.88 p/h   Afternoon rate £20.30 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £27.22 p/h   Night rate £21.66 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £28.58 p/h

Additional Information

  • Paid assessment required

  • Fully paid breaks

  • Shift availability: Days / Afternoons / Nights

  • Shifts available Monday to Sunday

  • Holiday entitlement will be accrued during employment.

 

Requirements

  • HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (Category CE)

  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience

  • Refrigerator unit experience preferred

  • Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

  • No more than 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
