HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) Location: North Birmingham / Runcorn / Warrington (Multiple Locations)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role My Key Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers on behalf of a well-established logistics business operating across the Midlands and the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for ongoing, stable work with a reputable employer. Whether you prefer trunking, RDC deliveries or depot-to-depot work, we have a variety of shift patterns available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicle.
  • Complete trunking and scheduled deliveries to distribution centres and customer sites.
  • Carry out daily vehicle defect checks and report any faults.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately using handheld devices or delivery documentation.
  • Comply with all Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism when representing the business.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies. Class 1 drivers are typically responsible for vehicle safety checks, delivery paperwork, route planning, compliance with driver hours rules and the secure transportation of goods.
Requirements
  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations.
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements).
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred
  • A professional attitude with excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
