Rapier Employment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to join one of the UK's leading supermarket distribution operations based in Erith and Dartford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with a nationally recognised logistics provider, offering excellent rates of pay, fully paid breaks, modern vehicles, and long-term opportunities.
Immediate starts available. Your driving assessment is completed as part of your first shift, meaning you'll be paid while you demonstrate your skills.
Pay & Benefits
- Days: £20.00 per hour
- Mid Shifts/Back Shifts: £20.75 per hour
- Nights: £22.93 per hour
- Overtime: Up to £26.63 per hour
- Premium weekend rates – earn up to £53.22 per hour

The Role
You'll be delivering chilled and ambient products to ASDA stores using modern, well-maintained HGV Class 1 vehicles. The work includes a mixture of store deliveries and trunking, with minimal manual handling.
This is a busy, fast-paced distribution operation offering regular work and consistent shifts throughout the year.
Your Responsibilities
- Completing store deliveries and trunking work
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Operating safely and professionally at all times
- Working within a busy 24/7 logistics operation
- Delivering excellent customer service at every delivery point
Shift Information
Flexible shifts are available across a 7-day operation, including weekend work.
Start Times
- AM Shifts: 03:00 – 08:00
- PM Shifts: 17:00 – 02:00
- Typically 9–15 hours
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you'll need:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card (DQC)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- A minimum of 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements)
- Right to work in the UK
- A professional, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
