Class 1 HGV Driver

Berry Recruitment are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver in the Peterborough area.

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 16:00

48 Hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wear correct PPE
• Vehicle is legally compliant
• Check systems, vehicles, equipment, tools and machinery before use - report defects
• Know your vehicle
• Carry correct licence/DCPC/Tacho card
• Use a reversing assistant (when available)
• Correct vehicle position and safe vehicle loading
• Prevent and report overweight vehicles
• Personal safety & that of the crew and people around them
• Vehicle is clean
• Report service, safety and environmental issues
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to your Supervisor
• Complete drivers debrief

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

• Effective Communication - Foundation
• Time Management - Foundation
• Driving a large/LGV vehicles
• Waste industry desirable
• Team working
