We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for an established logistics operation based in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for regular, ongoing work with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful qualifying period.
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of palletised goods.
Your duties will include:
- Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Completing deliveries and collections to customer locations.
- Handling palletised goods using a tail lift and pump truck where required.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Assisting customers with deliveries where required.
- Completing delivery paperwork and digital delivery records.
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Complying with all drivers' hours, tachograph and company procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
- £17.84 per hour

You will need:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- A professional attitude and excellent timekeeping
- Good customer service skills
- Experience with palletised deliveries
- Experience using a tail lift and pump truck is advantageous
- No more than 6 penalty points (some endorsements may not be accepted)
First Shift
Drivers will complete a short induction before their first shift, covering the digital delivery system, Safe Systems of Work, tail lift operation and a brief tachograph test.
