Class 1 Hiab Driver - Tramping

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 heavy vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane for loading and unloading cargo
• Deliver goods to multiple sites across different regions, adhering to schedules and safety protocols
• Secure loads on flatbed trucks using appropriate tie-downs and safety measures
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with road regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and address any issues
• Follow all traffic laws, health and safety standards, and company policies during every journey

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Heavy Vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating flatbed trucks and Hiab cranes
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and load securing techniques
• Prior experience as a delivery driver preferred, with excellent navigation skills
• Ability to work independently on tramping assignments across multiple locations
• Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
