Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 LGV Tramper Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Southampton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK. This is a tramping role, with regular nights out required, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy longer-distance work and being on the road.

Working Hours

• 06:00 start time
• Monday to Friday
• Regular nights out / tramping
• Long-distance UK deliveries
• Ongoing work available

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.
• Complete deliveries and collections across the UK.
• Plan journeys and manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Comply with driver hours, tachograph and Working Time Regulations.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) LGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Previous tramping experience desirable.
• Comfortable with regular nights away from home.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.
