Requirements

Essential:

  • Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Professional attitude and appearance

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Class 1 delivery and collection work
  • Experience with curtainsider, container, trunking or general haulage work
  • Good knowledge of UK roads
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle
  • Complete deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks
  • Report any vehicle defects or issues
  • Ensure goods are secure and handled correctly
  • Complete delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and clients
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable
  • Follow company procedures and delivery schedules
  • Work efficiently to meet daily delivery and collection requirements
As a Self-Employed HGV Class 1 Driver, You Will Also Be Expected To:
  • Provide a reliable and professional service
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
  • Complete all assigned deliveries and collections
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Work independently while following company instructions
