HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm

Location: WF17
Pay: £16.92 per hour (£18.96 including holiday pay)
Shifts: 4 days over 7 | 14:30–16:30 starts | Approx. 10-hour shifts

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in the LS27 area.

This role involves delivering to restaurants and hospitality venues. Drivers must be comfortable with manual handling, including cage work and handball deliveries.

Duties

• Deliver to restaurants and hospitality venues.
• Complete 8–12 drops per shift.
• Carry out handball and cage deliveries.
• Drive vehicles ranging from 7.5T to 26T.
• Work a 4-on-7 shift pattern on an 8-week rota, including weekends.
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork.
• Comply with all road transport and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months' HGV driving experience.
• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit and able to carry out heavy manual handling.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.
