Class 2 Driver (Pickup & 26T Rigid)

Location: Oldbury, West Midlands

Position: Full-Time

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM 

Salary/Pay Rate: £15 per hour

We are currently recruiting a reliable and versatile Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Oldbury.

In this role, you will initially operate our company pickup truck while also being fully utilized to drive our 26-tonne rigid vehicle. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for stable day-shift hours and a great work-life balance with an early finish every Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive both company pickup trucks and 26-tonne rigid vehicles as required.
• Transport goods efficiently to designated locations across local and regional routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure loads are correctly secured and within legal weight limits.
• Complete all required delivery paperwork and driver logs accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe vehicle environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
• Qualifications: Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience: Experience operating 26T rigid vehicles and light commercial vehicles/pickups.
• Strong knowledge of road safety, driving regulations, and tachograph rules.
• Punctual, dependable, and physically capable of handling vehicle checks and securing loads.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
