Temp to Perm Role

Freeway Recruitment are looking to register Class 2 Drivers;

Role: Class 2 HGV C

Shifts - Days Monday to Friday

Description:

Working for a leading transport specialist in their field

Majority of runs include 5-10 delivery drops per shift across the North of England

Drivers are expected to deliver goods into a range of retail outlets, some of which can be city centre, Leeds, York Manchester, Liverpool, as well other easier to access delivery points. Drivers are expected to have experience of delivering to urban areas such as city centres, shopping centres and retail parks. Delivery drops requires the driver to self tip in via PPT and tail lift operation.

The role is initially working via FreewayAgency on a temporary ongoing basis, which our client will look to offer permanent position based on the Drivers overall ongoing performance. Our client has a relaxed and respectful approach to running transport and their Drivers, many of which have been working with the company for several years in most cases.

Usual start times are 0600-0630am Monday to Friday.

For this role you must:

• Have a full and valid Class 2 Licence and have held this for a minimum of 12 months


• No more than 6 points on licence with no DR , DD , IN , CD or other endorsements that lead to a ban.


• A full and valid Tacho card and an in date valid CPC Qualification with card.


 

Requirements:

• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time


• Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping


• Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work


• Good command of English both written and spoken


• Excellent communication skills


• Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times


• Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network


• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic


• Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our Client


 

Pay

£16.00ph PAYE (Plus holiday pay accrued)

£17.93ph PAYE (Holiday pay paid out)
