Class 2 Driver

SLD Recruitment are currently looking for reliable Class 2 (C) HGV Drivers to join our growing team.

We work with a wide range of established customers across Nottingham, Derby and South Yorkshire, meaning we can offer a variety of Class 2 driving opportunities to suit different preferences and experience levels.

Whether you're looking for ongoing full-time work, regular shifts, temporary work or something to fit around your existing commitments, we'd love to hear from you.

💪 What will you be doing?

Depending on the customer and role, Class 2 duties can include:

• Driving Class 2 rigid HGV vehicles safely and responsibly

• Making local, regional and nationwide deliveries

• Multi-drop deliveries to customers and businesses

• Depot-to-depot deliveries and trunking

• Delivering pallets, cages, stock and general haulage

• Loading and unloading vehicles

• Using pump trucks and tail lifts where required

• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic delivery records

• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects

• Securing loads safely and correctly

• Communicating professionally with customers and site staff

• Following all relevant road transport, health & safety and company procedures

• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
